Are you leaving money on the table? Quite often when we first start out in business we can overlook the smaller but nonetheless important things in favour of finding your first clients or attracting more clients. If you overlook these seemingly small things you will actually loose money and potential clients in business. As a new entrepreneur with a service-based business, do you feel like it’s difficult or even impossible to find or attract clients to your business? If this is something you can relate to then this week’s episode of Be Motivated TV is for you.

This small business practice that I’m talking about is a follow-up system that helps you to keep in contact with potential clients who may be interested in buying your service in the future. When I first started out in business it never occurred to me that I should be following up with certain connections that my business was generating each month and as a result, I allowed quite a few potential clients to slip away from my business. When I started my second business, my coach challenged me to start creating a follow-up system and as I started to create a spreadsheet with a list of names, I started to ask a lot of questions about how often I need to be emailing these contacts and what should I be saying when I write these emails, and which contacts should I be following up. This is the reason why I chose to discuss a follow-up system because this is something I struggled with and I know others entrepreneurs do as well.

In episode 005 of BeMotivated TV, I will share with you the who, what, and the how of a follow-up system. In essence, I will discuss:
  • The real purpose of a follow-up system.
  • Who you should be following up.
  • What you should include in a follow-up system.
  • How much time should you leave between follow-up emails.
  • The tool I use to follow up with the people who come in contact with my business on a daily basis.
